Right, straight to business today as although the lesson notes are short, there are tonnes to get through. As the title hints, Affiliate Marketing is the subject of mentioning today.

So.. what can I say, well firstly, as we know, I used clickbank a while back to set up my new sales website as instructed by Sara and Tony. The reason that I used Clickbank and was recommended Clickbank was because, Clickbank has probably the best payment processor for Affiliate Marketing and for commission to be paid to affiliates.

Just before I go further on, those who are unsure what Affiliate Marketing, let me try and explain it to you as simple as possible. Affiliate Marketing is where you somebody else promotes your product for you in return for a commission of set amount or percentage of the item’s sale price.

If the promoters use Clickbank, the Clickbank gives them a promotional affilaite link which they can track automatically which referred potential buyer to buy product and assign commissions to.

Do you remember a few post back where I mentioned that I uploaded a new product recently to Clickbank, well because of that I am classified as a product publisher so what this means is that I provide a product and I can decide on what percentage of commission I want to pay to those i.e. affiliate marketers who promote my product for me and gain commission on each successful sale.

So how does one know how to promote, well it’s quite simple once you understand it and that is, when you promote a product using Clickbank’s sytem, you use a special affiliate link.

A typical link would look like something below

http://YOURCLICKBANKID.424904.hop.clickbank.net

Obviously, to promote, you need to sign up for a clickbank account and you get a Clickbank ID that you have personall chosen. Once registered, whenever you promote anything, you simply use the provided affilaite link but substitute “YOURCLICKBANKID” with your Clickbank ID.

Once done, everything is automatically set for you and now all you have to do is promote that special link.

Oh and commission payments are paid pretty much real time too, which is a good thing.

So what else? Well referring back to a product publisher, like I am, I had to create a new affiliate’s page which is simply take the sales page, delete everything of it, add an affiliate title and then the clickbank link.

No need to worry about sorting out the link for your affiliates, as they will already know what to do.

After you have created your page, simply upload it to you web hosting servers i.e. CPanel, file manager etc.. or FTP directly to where your sale page site it and then that’s it.

To finally finish things off, it is best to give it a good test trial runs to make sure your link directs to the product your are promoting.
